Mulch

This morning I bought three large scoops (front end loader sized scoops) from the recycling center in La Grange. You can take all your brush, trees and scrub scraps to their brush yard and dump it for free. They run it through a giant wood chipper, make mulch out of it, and sell it for only $5.00 a scoop.

I spent all day shoveling that mulch around a line of bamboo. This golden bamboo was planted three years ago to block off the ugly tanks of an oil company next door. I think the bamboo wasn't doing well because they were choked out by weeds. After a while Lee, also known as MT Grave, joined in and we shoveled the hell out of that mulch.
